Today is the day I have been looking forward to ever since I heard it was happening. Wedding day. It was every bit as beautiful as I thought it would be. We were able to witness 3 couples get married that otherwise would not have been able to.

The people in this village usually cannot afford the paperwork required to get married, so many couples end up living together which causes them a lot of guilt and shame.  It was an honor to be part of the group that helped make this day happen for them. We felt so blessed that they would share their special day with us.

The festivities included a beautiful service, delicious food, fireworks and of course a joyous community. The sun set behind the hills as we ate dinner, and I was overwhelmed with gratitude for my Father in Heaven and for the love that he was pouring down on this group of his children. I could feel it. His love for me, for our group, for the people in the village. I could feel his love pouring through me as I looked around at the people and I tried my hardest to freeze time and soak up as much of the experience as I could. I have never met a more affectionate group of people in my entire life. It is near impossible to go 10 minutes without someone (usually a child) randomly walking up to you and giving you a big hug.

I am so grateful for this day and for these people that have so lovingly welcomed us into their lives, will never forget it.
