Our vision for the Healing Nations Medical Ministry Center (HNMMC) is for every person who enters the medical center to experience God’s healing through the truth and compassion of Jesus (John 1:14). Through the medical center, we will offer comprehensive care for physical, mental, and spiritual ailments.
Located in Santo Tomas Milpas Altas, Guatemala, the grand opening of the HNMMC was held in February 2025. Our Guatemalan team began seeing and caring for patients right away at this new location.
In addition to hosting twice a week clinics, the new HNMMC will also be the new home for Healing Nations tri-annual medical outreaches.
Chronic and Acute Care Clinics
Two days every week are dedicated to addressing the chronic medical needs of our patients. This is carried out by our on-field partners and missionaries.
Weekly Diabetes Clinic
Diabetes is one of the most prevalent diseases we treat in Guatemala. Much of this takes place due to a lack of education and resources regarding this disease. Our team provides medication for families who suffer from diabetes and also provides teaching and education to help prevent and/or manage the disease.
Weekly Dental Clinic
This already takes place in one of the communities we work in (Membrillal) by our on-field Guatemalan dentist, but it will also take place at the HNMMC. We have seen so many changes in the oral health of the patients who have received dental care through this ministry and we are excited to see the impact expand.
Nutritional Classes
Ongoing nutritional classes are held throughout the year to equip patients with the knowledge they need to better maintain their health. Even though we provide the medication needs of our patients, often the health issues that patients experience are caused by or made worse by their diet.
Biblical Counseling
There is a great need for loving and skilled counselors in Guatemala. We have partnered with Christian Counselors in Guatemala who point people to Jesus to find healing for their souls. Our counselors are trained in trauma counseling so they are equipped to minister to those who have experienced trauma.

In the Future…
Discipleship Program
One of our core values at Healing Nations is Holistic Discipleship as “we believe that personal and social transformation is not possible without becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ.” Thus, we will be implementing a new discipleship program into the fabric of the HNMMC that is holistic and will point people to the only One who can bring new life and real transformation.
Children’s Program
We have partnered with a children’s ministry that was started by a local Guatemalan artist in Membrillal. This artist and his family use art as a way to teach the children of the community about Jesus, teach English, and provide the children with a skill set that can lead to opportunities to provide for their families.
Worship & Prayer Ministry
Every other week we will have worship leaders (who also happen to be our Guatemalan doctors!) lead a dedicated time at the HNMMC to seek the Lord through prayer and worship. The purpose of these gatherings is to provide intentional times of prayer and worship for people to have meaningful and transformational encounters with the Lord.
Special Needs Ministry
Many children in the communities that we serve have disabilities and/or special needs. Unfortunately, in the Guatemalan culture, these children are not accepted and are often treated as if they hold no value. We have the opportunity to speak into this mindset by modeling that we see these beautiful children are made in the image of God and have tremendous value. In our special needs ministry, we will be giving an opportunity to be ministered to as well as opportunities to join our ministry team and serve alongside of us. Our goal in the special needs ministry is to foster a time of friendship, support, and connection that will lead to co-laboring with the families impacted by these needs.
