Pastor Elima Etienne has been involved in Danda for the past 3 decades and has been a pastor for more than 20 years. He is well respected leader in the community, who understands the value of any project lies in the long-term impact depending on the community’s involvement in the project from the start. The people in Danda are mostly subsistence farmers, hard-working and friendly.
It’s Pastor Elima’s vision to see the people of his community be able to produce enough food year round to feed themselves, sell surplus in various markets, and see the people learn new skills through the vocational training center which was built there with the help of Healing Nations partners.
The church in Danda also runs a school, with sponsorship opportunities through His Hands For Haiti, another Healing Nations partner.
