From Sharon:

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.  I will be filled with joy because of you.  I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.  Psalms 9: 1-2

What a wonderful God we serve!  We have so much to praise Him for as we see His plan unfold for our work here in Guatemala.  The thing that was most evident today as we conducted the medical clinic,  was the unity of the team working together.  It is amazing to see each team member serving with their special God-given gift.

I especially enjoyed the older patients I took care of today.  The first patient of the day was a sweet grandma with a big, beautiful smile.  Despite much hardship in life, she had a deep faith and trust that God would see her through.  The last patient of the day was unique in that a small group of us went to see him at his home.  Due to a very painful medical condition, he was unable to come to be seen at the clinic.  We spent time visiting and praying with him before we left.  It is true that we can often feel that there is not much we can offer people who live in such difficult circumstances.  But, what we can offer is perhaps the greatest gift of all- the hope and love of Jesus.

I am blessed and honored to be a part of this team.  I pray that somehow I can give back even a portion of what I have received.  To God be the glory!
