Such a great first day of clinic! It never ceases to amaze me to watch the body of Christ come together to serve these communities with the love of Jesus. Thank you for praying for us! We know God has been faithful to answer.

I am always excited about opportunities to experience a new culture because it reminds me of the shared love we all have. It is so easy to get caught up in the day to day and forget to take a breath and remember all the things we have to be grateful for. As I have met dozens of new people today, I find it beautiful to see that what makes my life meaningful is also important to them. Gratitude is the way I stay focused on the light that Christ brings into the world. Here are some of the things the Healing Nations team was grateful for after our first day of clinic: Grateful for life and the opportunity to be here with the team; Gratitude to be able to see his friend Rudy; Gratitude for Diego and Anthony; Gratitude for Steph; Gratitude for the first patient she saw; Gratitude for David and his translation; Gratitude for Maria’s delicious lunch, the sunshine and getting to hold a baby; Gratitude for being able to see a family that is very impactful in their time here in Guatemala; Gratitude for the computers working all day long; Gratitude for the beautiful clothing that is traditional in Guatemala; Gratitude for the training I have that enables me to care for those in all areas of the world

Today has been such an amazing experience! Being here in the Guatemalan culture is such a beautiful opportunity. The people are the most loving people ever! They are so grateful for every little thing we do for them and it has opened my mind from this first day that I need to show more gratitude every day. I have had the opportunity to translate and it has been so fun getting to know the families that come through. There was one family with two kids, Diego and Anthony, and they were so excited to get everything done. I couldn’t believe they were so happy to be here. It was a little hard for them to get their teeth pulled, but they still had a smile on their face. That is what this is all about! I love being here sharing God’s love with these people! They are so humble and so loving! What a great first day!
